Direct Insight Services, Inc. ("Direct Insight," "we," "us") operates this website at dic4.com. This policy explains what information the website collects, why, and who it is shared with. It is written to describe how this site actually works rather than to cover practices we do not engage in.
This policy covers the website only.
It does not cover the investigative work we perform for clients. Case files, surveillance records, claim materials, subject information, and any records produced during an engagement are governed by our client agreements, by the licensing and confidentiality obligations that apply to licensed investigators in the states where we operate, and by applicable law. Those records are not handled under this policy. If you are a client asking how we protect case material, see our Trust Center.
The only information this website asks you for is what you type into one of our two forms: the contact form and the "Assign a Case" request form. Those fields are:
When you submit a form, that information is sent to our staff by email so we can respond. It is not published, sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Please do not put confidential case details, claim numbers, medical information, Social Security numbers, or information about a third party into a website form. These forms are for making contact. Once we are engaged, we will give you a secure channel for sensitive material.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are used. It is privacy-focused and cookieless: it does not set tracking cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other websites. We see aggregate counts, not individual visitors.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and browser type, for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
This website does not use cookies to track you and does not run advertising cookies. Two narrow exceptions exist:
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent you from using this site.
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We do not run an advertising network, we have not enabled Google AdSense, and we do not operate a mailing list or newsletter from this site. We do not take payments on this website, so no payment or card information is ever collected here.

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is required to comply with the law, a subpoena, or a court order; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Direct Insight, our clients, or others.
Form submissions arrive as email and are retained in our business email system under our normal records practices. If you want your inquiry deleted and we have no ongoing business or legal reason to keep it, write to info@dic4.com and we will remove it.
This site is served entirely over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions are transmitted over encrypted channels, and access to the private publishing area is restricted and authenticated. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Security concerns can be sent to security@dic4.com.
You may ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@dic4.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law; tell us what you are requesting and we will respond as the law requires.
Because we do not track visitors across websites, there is nothing for a browser "Do Not Track" signal to switch off here.
This website provides commercial investigative services to businesses and professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
This site links to other organizations, including our client portal and our social media profiles. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
