Headquarters
Omaha is our headquarters, not a satellite listing. Assignments here are run by the same team that answers the phone.
Direct Insight Services has been headquartered in Omaha since 2012. We moved here to sit centrally in the country and because it is home ground for our owner, Gunnar Christensen. That matters on a practical level: work in this market is planned and supervised from the same office it is assigned to, not routed to a subcontractor two states away.
Omaha is a serious commercial insurance town. Berkshire Hathaway, Mutual of Omaha, Kiewit, and Union Pacific are headquartered here, Offutt Air Force Base anchors the region, and the metro has grown substantially over the last twenty-five years. That mix produces exactly the claim profile we are built for: commercial liability, workers’ compensation on large employers, transportation and rail exposure, and disputed injury claims with real money behind them.
Nebraska assignments rarely stay inside the city limits. A subject who works in Omaha may live on acreage an hour out, and rural surveillance is a different discipline: fewer places to sit, neighbors who notice an unfamiliar vehicle within minutes, and long sightlines that punish sloppy positioning. Our investigators work both environments regularly and plan for the one the case actually calls for. We also cover Spanish-speaking subjects without bringing in an outside interpreter.
What we handle here
Common questions
Yes. Omaha is our headquarters. Assignments here are planned, run, and supervised from this office rather than brokered to a subcontractor.
Surveillance, Insurance Claims & Risk, SIU & Fraud, Large Loss & Catastrophic, Litigation Support, Background & Due Diligence. Most work here comes from insurance carriers, third-party administrators, self-insured employers, and defense counsel.
Licensed investigative agency in Nebraska — license 400.
Assignments are typically scoped the same business day they come in. Large-loss and catastrophic matters are treated as immediate, because scene evidence degrades quickly.
